Hade Vuyk is a leading expert in the field of Nose Reconstruction and Nose Plastic Surgery. He brings more than 30 years of experience in nasal reconstruction to the team at the Nose Reconstruction Clinic. He has been working at the Nose Reconstruction Clinic since 2016.
He lectures nationally and internationally on nasal reconstruction and nasal plastic surgery. He has published extensively on most aspects of Nose Reconstruction and Nose Plastic Surgery, from rhinoplasty to complex reconstruction. He is the editor of the leading European textbook on Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery: the recommended book by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery.
STUDY
He studied medicine at Leiden University and graduated (cum laude) in 1981. In 1985 he trained as an otolaryngologist, specialized in ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery at the University Hospital of the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, where he worked as a staff member for several years (from 1985 to 1987). During that period he was able to concentrate on plastic and reconstructive facial surgery. Since 1986, he has worked exclusively with patients for facial plastic or facial cosmetic surgery.
From 1995 to 2002 he was chairman of the working group “Plastic and reconstructive facial surgery” of the Dutch Association for ENT and Head and Neck Surgery. Since 1997 he has been responsible for one of the fellowship programs of the European Academy of Facial Surgery. Dr Vuyk is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Surgery and the Dutch Association for Throat Nose and Throat Surgery of the Head and Neck.
