Nose reconstruction surgeons specialize in rebuilding all parts of the nose. They will have undergone training in rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction of the nose. Some will have undergone training in microvascular reconstructive surgery of the face. They are able to address functional breathing problems, septal perforations, reconstruction of full thickness defects of the nose replacing inner lining, cartilage framework and skin and up to rebuilding of the nose. Nose reconstruction surgeons who are also ENT surgeons will also be able to address any co-existing sinus disease or nasal mucosal disease.
