Dr Hade Vuyk

Hade Vuyk is a leading expert on Nose Reconstruction and Nose Plastic Surgery. He brings more than 30 years experience in nose reconstruction to the team at the Nose Reconstruction Clinic and will join us in 2016.

He has lectured widely both nationally and internationally on Nose Reconstruction and Nose Plastic Surgery. He has published widely on most aspects of Nose Reconstruction and Nose Plastic Surgery from rhinoplasty to complex reconstruction. He is the editor of the leading European textbook on Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and the recommended text of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery.

He studied medicine at the University of Leiden and graduated (cum laude) in 1981. He entered otolaryngology training in 1985 specializing in the Ear, Nose, Throat and Head and Neck Surgery at the Academic Hospital of the Vrije (Free) Universiteit in Amsterdam where he worked for several years as a staff member (from 1985 to 1987) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During that period he was able to concentrate on plastic and reconstructive facial surgery. Since 1986 he has worked exclusively with patients for facial plastic or cosmetic facial surgery.

From 1995 to 2002 he was chairman of the working group "Plastic and Reconstructive Facial Surgery" by the Dutch Association for Ear-Nose and Throat and Head and Neck Surgery. Since 1997 he was responsible for one of the fellowship programs of the European Academy of Facial Surgery. Dr. Vuyk is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Surgery and the Dutch Association for Throat Nose and Throat Surgery of the Head and Neck.
